Twitter wants everyone to have their Moment.
In the next few months, Twitter Moments, the feature that was previously only available to Twitter’s curation team and a small group of publishing partners, will be available for any user to create.
Moments are curated collections of Tweets, videos, and photos around the same topic or event. One of the main objectives of Moments is to surface the best of the platform each day in real-time, allowing users to swipe through to stay up to date with news, current events, and viral or cultural stories.
Now that Moments will be available for anyone to create, Twitter is putting the power of the platform into its users hands, hoping more and more collections will be created, and in turn, consumed and enjoyed by more people.
Twitter says, “By extending this creative format to more people, and eventually to everyone on Twitter, we are giving people a new and dynamic way to tell their stories.”
